Ana De La Reguera was featured on the premiere episode of Lip Sync México, the Latin version of the popular Lip Sync Battle. The Narcos and Twin Peaks star started off the bout imitating Lucero with the song Cuentame. “I grew up in the 80s and I think everyone here knows Lucerito and who hasn’t sung one of her songs during karaoke?,” she told Nicky Jam before her performance. De la Reguera was spot on as Lucero during her first round, taking command of the stage and even imitating the singer’s facial expressions. Comedy Central Latin America premiered the Mexican version of Lip Sync Battle last night hosted by urban artist Nicky Jam and Ariana Ron Pedrique. “‘Lip Sync México’ is a fun project and represents an opportunity to explore another phase as a host in my career,” Nicky Jam said. “This program will be enjoyable and excite families to see their artists, singers and favorite athletes competing to show who is the best lip syncer.

Eduardo Lebrija, Senior VP and General Director of Viacom México, Central America and Caribbean, said, “‘Lip Sync México’ is the local version of Lip Sync Battle, it is part of the new and original portfolio content of Comedy Central that we’ll be producing in México for all of Latin America. Announced today this co-production with Azteca, marks the beginning of a project that will contribute a lot of value to this fun format.”
