Variety show Sabadazo is going to undergo a drastic change when it loses one of its lead presenters. Omar Chaparro will be leaving the entertainment program after being one of the founding co-hosts for many years. Producer Alexis Núñez confirmed the news on his Twitter account. “Ceci Galliano, Yordi Rosado and Laura Gii together soon every Saturday,” he wrote.

Yordi Rosado, who rose to fame as Adal Ramones’ sidekick on Otro Rollo, has found immense popularity amongst millennials with his irreverent way of tackling social issues. Rosado is the current host of talk show Está Cañón and has written many self-help books relating to sexuality matters. It’s safe to say that Yordi is being brought on board to give new life to the aging show.

On the tweet Núñez published, he doesn’t state that the trio will be hosting Sabadazo and speculation has surfaced that not only there will be a change of male host, but a change in the name of the program. The latter would be beneficial to the Univision network in the U.S. as branding it with a different name will give them another chance of launching it on Saturday night’s. After the cancellation of Sábado GiganteSabadazo took its timeslot but the ratings did not back them up, which forced the Spanish-language network to program it at an earlier time.

It is not known if Omar Chaparro was fired, let go or decided to leave the show. Chaparro has been active in the movie business having starred in Pulling Strings and Compadres for Televisa’s Pantelion Films in the U.S. We are sure Chaparro has other projects in line and maybe Sabadazo was holding him back from realize them. Chaparro took to Twitter to congratulate the new time by writing, “I am sure that in this new chapter everything will be incredible for all of us.”
